we were discussing the oratory skills of some of the past
presidents, hopefuls etc during lunch. clinton, obama are good
orators, even mrs clinton - i was really impressed during her
speech at the senate confirmation. on the republican side - maybe
bush senior (?), reagan (well, he's an actor). bush junior fails
miserably.
notice the theme? the good ones are lawyers...well, they could
spin words for sure.
To this day, I have an axe to grind with the American people for
putting Dubya into power.
Dollars to donuts say that Gore would have done a better
job.
That last statement was purely hypothetical, but seriously, I
can't see anyone else making a bigger mess than Dubya. Okay,
besides Nixon.
